Our Approach

As humans we have an amazing gift - the system that is our body and brain. Our approach at Infinite Performance is to teach you to explore what is inside, to understand the connection between mind, body and breath, so as to enable you to perform at your very best. By teaching the relationship between these drivers of performance, you gain an understanding of not only how to perform at your best, but also how to self-manage and adjust as your journey continues.

We don’t do cookie cutter programs here. Our approach is very hands on, and all our programs are custom designed specifically for the individual. We make the effort to understand the person, their goals, and the context of what they are trying to achieve, and whilst this requires a lot more effort - we believe it’s absolutely critical to real and sustained success.

Trent likes to say, “his success comes from his clients’ success”, and he genuinely believes that. It’s what drives him, and it's the principle at the heart of everything he does. A quick look around this site, and you might notice a few of those success stories!

What we do

Trent creates custom programs, specifically designed for the client, to optimise performance in sport, business or life. Based on the clients level, skill and experience, and reflecting their goals and aspirations, Trent designs a program to overcome the mental or physical hurdles that may be standing between them and better performance. By looking at the entire system within our bodies - rather than just select components as many training programs do - Trent explores the true potential of what his clients can achieve. 

Infinite Performance runs sessions and programs in three main disciplines: Athletic Coaching & Development, Business Coaching & Team-building, and Mindfulness & Self-awareness.

Athletic Coaching & Development

Whether it be an initial focus on running technique, speed, movement, fitness or strength, and regardless of it being for general fitness or specific to a particular sport, Trent brings a wholistic approach to athletic development.

Trent brings his significant corporate and training experience, to deliver custom programs that go beyond the traditional offerings in business coaching, team building and motivation.

Mindfulness & Self-awareness

Trent investigates the potential limitations that we place on ourselves and our development, based on our learnings, experiences and mindset. By questioning our thought process in a non-confrontational way, we learn to unlock the power of mindfulness and self-reflection.

About Trent

Trent grew up in very creative family, where he was encouraged to explore new ideas. Martial Arts was a significant influence on his life growing up, and he’s been a practitioner of it for most of his life. Studying and exploring multiple disciplines, and growing as both student and teacher, it was Martial Arts that first introduced Trent to the importance and impact that breathing had on not just the physical aspect of the body, but also the mental. He learned and mastered techniques that could strengthen our mindset, to help overcome many of life’s challenges - physical and mental. 

 

Cold weather training in particular, and it’s relationship with breathing control, was fundamental to his appreciation of how important control over our breathing was to high level function. He learned to use meditation as an effective tool in harnessing the power of the mind - what’s often referred to as MINDSET these days.

 

Years involved with mainstream sport has given Trent invaluable experience and knowledge about the team environment, and how an individual or athlete interacts and responds to the group dynamic. This knowledge of the group dynamic applies to both sport and the professional landscape.

 

When you put all this together, you get the beginnings of Infinite Performance. What started as some personal training within the Boxing and Martial Arts world, began to evolve into a philosophy when Trent got requests to work with other athletes, and he realised that his approach and techniques were transferable to any sport and even business. It was probably when Trent started working with professional athletes in 2005 - in both the physical and mindset space - that he knew he had something significant to offer.

 

Trent now works with athletes across the wide sporting landscape; professional AFL footballers, pathway and junior footballers, tennis players, soccer players, boxers, track & field athletes… the list is long and getting longer every day. The list of corporate clients looking for help in tackling an ever increasingly challenging landscape, is just as diverse. What do they all have in common? The passion, desire and commitment to unlock their true potential.

How we do it

Infinite Performance designs it’s programs - and the way those programs are delivered - around one simple notion: what will achieve the best results? Whether it be one-to-one personal training, group sessions, or even remote / online sessions, the style of delivery is tailored to the specific client and their associated goals. We aren’t very concerned with maximising how many clients we can see in a week. We’re much more concerned with the quality of the experience, and the results our clients achieve.

Just about all of our Athletic Coaching & Development sessions are delivered one-to-one - simply because we get the best results this way. One-to-one sessions offer more flexibility and a level of individual attention and customisation that's simply not possible in a group session.

GROUP

Group settings can be very effective for Mindset and Fitness sessions, where a sense of belonging and support from the group can help provide inspiration and motivation. Not surprisingly, group sessions are also often appropriate for team-building or corporate programs where the group dynamic is a vital part of the session itself.

REMOTE

We've always worked remotely with clients in other states, but in recent years it's become even more important to be flexible in the way we connect with our clients. Remote or online sessions allow us to stay connected even when schedules or locations are challenging.

As Trent likes to say, he feels like his success comes directly from the success of his clients, and because each client has their own goals and motivations, that success can look different for different people. For some, it's achieving the goal of getting drafted into the professional AFL system. For others it's personal best times, improving state rankings, or selection in development or academy squads.
